Observatori researcher Oriol Costa (UAB/IBEI), will lead a new Doctoral Research Network EUFOG (Contested EU Foreign Policy in an Era of Geopolitics). This network, composed of 17 universities and research centers from across the European Union, as well as from New Zealand, Brazil, the United States and the United Kingdom, will focus on studying how the EU is adapting its foreign policy and international role in response to the current geopolitical shift.
In this increasingly competitive international context, EUFOG’s primary goal is to train scholars in analysing the politics (political conflicts and debates), policies (decisions and actions) and partners (relationships and perceptions) of the EU as an international actor.
The project is funded by the Horizon Europe Framework Programme and will run from for four years from December 2024.
