The Observatory as a group and Oriol Costa as a researcher will form part of EUGLOB, a Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence awarded to UAB professor Ana Mar Fernández. The Centre’s main objective is to expand knowledge about the European Union as a global actor from three perspectives: emphasising the historical significance of the EU as a unique political organization, raising awareness about the EU’s system of governance with a focus on policymaking, and demonstrating the scope and value of European public action through global dissemination, allowing both European and non-European citizens to better understand the meaning of a united Europe.
