On the occasion of Europe Day, last May 9th, the Jean Monnet Chair TEULP (The Transformative European Union Law Power) at the University of Murcia, with the support of the European Commission, organised a conference on “Gender Equality as a Priority of EU Foreign Policy.”

This event featured the participation of Esther Barbé, the lead researcher at the Observatori, as a speaker, along with María Jesús Conde Zabala, Spain’s Ambassador for Feminist Foreign Policy, and Dorothy Estrada Tanck, Coordinator of the Legal Clinic at the University of Murcia and Chair of the UN Working Group on Discrimination against Women and Girls.

The discussion highlighted the importance of promoting gender equality as a fundamental pillar of the EU’s foreign policy, encouraging reflection and debate among the academics, professionals, and students present.
