Observatory researcher Eduard Soler (UAB) was invited to the television program “El Cafè de les Idees,” hosted by journalist Gemma Nierga and simultaneously broadcast on La 2 and RNE 4. During the interview, Soler analyzed how the Gaza war is intensifying. He also addressed other regional tension scenarios arising from the conflict, as well as the roles of the United States and the EU. In connection with the latter point, Soler highlighted that, despite its divisions, the EU is not an irrelevant actor in the region. Proof of this, according to Soler, lies in the fact that global and regional actors with influence attempt to bring the EU closer to their positions.
