The PhD candidate, Domique Schmid, whose doctorate was supervised by Observatory researcher Dr. Martijn Vasklamp (IBEI) and by Dr. Matthias vom Hau (IBEI), successfully defended her thesis on Wednesday December 13th at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) campus. The panel was composed of Dr. René Boot (Utrecht University) Dr. Esteve Corbera Elizalde (Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA – UAB)) and Dr. Maria Clara van der Hammen (Universidad Externado de Colombia).
