Several EU-NormCon and Observatori researchers participated in the 60th ISA Annual Conference that has taken place in Toronto (Canada) between the 27th and the 30th of March 2019 in Toronto (Canada). A large part of the papers were presented in one panel convened by the project.
In the panel convened by the project ‘The Crisis of Multilateralism: International Organizations, Actors and Networks’, Gemma Collantes-Celador (Cranfield University) and Oriol Costa (UAB-IBEI) co-authored the paper ‘International Contestation, Internal Consensus? The Relationship between Multilateralist EU and the International Criminal Court’, Michal Natorski (UNU-MERIT) contributed with ‘“Follow the Multilateral Script”: International Organizations and the Socio‐Economic Reforms after Domestic Upheavals’, Elisabeth Johansson-Nogués (IBEI) exposed her last investigation ‘A Clash of Narratives? When EU‐UN ‘Intersecting Multilateralism’ Meets ‘Unilateralism’’, Martijn Vlaskamp (Yale University-IBEI) authored the paper ‘Multilateral Responses to Armed Conflicts under Pressure: The Case of “Conflict Resources” at the United Nations Security Council’, while Robert Kissack (IBEI) presented the paper ‘Contestation: City Networks, Cosmopolitan Values and State‐Led Challenges to Liberal Regimes’.
