Several EU-NormCon and Observatori researchers participated in the 12th EISA Pan-European Conference, organized between the 12th and 15th of September in Prague (Czech Republic). A large part of the papers were presented in one panel convened by the project.
In the panel convened by the project ‘The Norms and Rules of EU External Relations and their Critics’, Patricia García-Duran (Universitat de Barcelona) presented the paper ‘TTIP Opponents’ Rhetorical Strategy’, co-authored by Leif Johan Eliasson (East Stroudsburg Universidad), and Ignasi Subirà-Ingla (Universitat de Barcelona), Oriol Costa and Gemma Collantes-Celador co-authored the paper ‘Contested Abroad, Consensual at Home? The Dilemmas for the EU of Defending the ICC’, Michal Natorski (UNU-MERIT) contributed with ‘The Contestation and Recognition of Changes in the Practices of Diplomacy during the 1973 Transatlantic Crisis’, while Esther Barbé (IBEI-UAB) in co-authorship with Pol Morillas (CIDOB) exposed their last investigation ‘Integrating while Relinquishing Transformative Power: The Making of a less Complacent EU Global Strategy’.
