Pol Morillas obtains his Phd in Politics, Policies and International Relations

The Observatori researcher Pol Morillas obtained this December his PhD with the thesis titled ‘Strategy-making in the era of intergovernmentalism. The policy-making processes of the European Security Strategy (2003) and the EU Global Strategy (2016)’. The thesis explores the intergovernmental-supranational debate in the literature of the European integration and analyses the policy-making processes of the European Security Strategy and the EU Global Strategy.

The thesis was developed under the framework of the Politics, Policies and International Relations Phd programme of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and was directed by Esther Barbé, principal investigator of the EU-NormCon project and the Observatory of European Foreign Policy group. The jury was formed by Richard Youngs (Warwick University), Elisabeth Johansson-Nogués (IBEI) and Oriol Costa (UAB).
