EU-NormCon organizes two panels at the Barcelona EISA Conference

EU-NormCon convened two panels at the EISA Pan-European Conference on International Relations that took place in Barcelona between the 12th and the 16th of September.

The first panel, Normative contestation in Europe: Implications for the EU in a changing global order was chaired by Esther Barbé (IBEI-UAB). Two EU-NormCon researchers, Patricia García-Duran (Universitat de Barcelona) and Oriol Costa (IBEI-UAB), presented papers. Wolfgang Wagner (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) and Knud Erik Jørgensen (Aarhus University) also took part in the panel.

Elisabeth Johansson-Nogués chaired the panel ‘EU foreign and security policy in a Contested World Order: Normative contestation within and beyond the European Union’. Esther Barbé (IBEI-UAB), Martijn Vlaskamp (IBEI-Yale University), Marta Iñiguez de Heredia (IBEI), and Gemma Collantes Celador (Cranfield University) were among the EU-NormCon researchers that presented their papers. Cord Jakobeit (University of Hamburg) also contributed to the session presenting a work cowritten with Jörg Meyer.
