Irina Khayrizamanova obtained this last November the PhD in Politics, Policies and International Relations at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Her PhD thesis, supervised by the EU-NormCon researchers Michał Natorski and Esther Barbé Izuel, was titled “The (mis-) recognition of the European Union as an international actor: the discourse-historical analysis of the Russian political narrative”.
The thesis analyses the identity of the European Union as an actor in the relations with the Russian Federation. The presentation of the thesis was held the 18th of November at the Faculty of Political Science of UAB.
