EU-IANUS researcher Anna Herranz-Surrallés gave a lecture on Wednesday 2th of December titled ‘An Upstream Battle: Dealing with Adversity in Global Energy Governance’ at Maastricht University. The meeting was part of the Annual Research Day of the Politics and Culture in Europe that took place at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
Herranz-Surrallés presented her energy policy case study of the EU-IANUS project (The EU in an Unsettled Multilateral System), which looks on the role of the European Union (EU) as an actor in an unsettled international system.
Anna Herranz-Surrallés is Assistant Professor in International Relations at the Department of Political Science of Maastricht University. Her current research concentrates on the external relations and foreign policy of the EU, with a particular focus on external energy policy. She also participates as associate member in the research group Observatory of European Foreign Policy.
