Barcelona hosts EU-IANUS Workshop

EU-IANUS organized a Workshop last Friday 30th of January at IBEI building (Barcelona). The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the evolution of the project, analytical framework and case studies focusing on a near publication (edited volume, Palgrave).

Under the label of ‘A functional power in a geopolitical world’, the workshop hosted researchers from different universities: Esther Barbé (UAB-IBEI), Oriol Costa (UAB), Robert Kissack (IBEI) and Juan Pablo Soriano (UAB); Anna Herranz-Surallés (Maastricht University); Benjamin Kienzle (King’s College London); Michał Natorski (University of Liège); Omar Serrano (University of Geneva); Matej Navratil (Comenius University in Bratislava); Patrick Müller (University of Vienna); and Gokay Ozerim (Yaşar University – Izmir). The workshop was divided in two sessions.

The morning session focused on ‘Adjectivised Power EU in a power politics world’. In the afternoon participants discussed four different dimensions of research ‘An agenda for research: power, performance, palette, policy’.
